We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow who will contribute to the 
future development of computational approaches in the ATSAS software 
package for biological scattering data analysis and interpretation. The 
work will focus on computational method developments for high-throughput 
SAXS data acquisition and analysis for soluble and membrane proteins as 
well as for macromolecular complexes. The successful candidate will also 
be involved in collaborative projects with scientists from across Europe 
and elsewhere who use the P12 SAXS beamline.

Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field (physics, mathematics, 
engineering, structural biology) and extended experience with 
computational algorithms and programming languages (Fortran, C++, 
Python). Expertise in X-ray scattering/diffraction will be considered an 
advantage. Additional knowledge of and experience in MySQL databases, 
Java/JBoss, and SOAP web services would be an asset. Good communication 
skills, fluent English and ability to collaborate with international 
teams are essential.
