Dear Small-Angle Scatterers,

NIST Standard Reference Material 3600: Absolute Intensity Calibration Standard for SAXS

Over the past several years, as many will be aware, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA, has been developing a new Standard Reference Material (SRM) based on glassy carbon as a SAXS intensity calibration standard.

This is now available for purchase from the NIST SRM Office as:
NIST Standard Reference Material 3600: Absolute Intensity Calibration Standard for Small-Angle X-ray Scattering.

Full details are available at:

https://www-s.nist.gov/srmors/view_detail.cfm?srm=3600

Please note that, while this standard is based on one of the glassy carbon ad hoc standard materials in use in recent years, and both the certificate and other information are freely available from the above web-site, the certified SAXS calibration, itself, applies only to SRM 3600 coupons purchased from the NIST SRM Office inventory.

Please refer to the above web-site on how to order, or contact the NIST SRM Office directly.

Regards,
Andrew Allen
