Small-Angle Scattering Postdoctoral Position in Materials Physics
at Argonne National Laboratory

The X-ray Science Division at the Advanced Photon Source invites
applications for a postdoctoral appointment to perform original
microstructure characterization research on energy-relevant materials
using ultra-small-angle x-ray scattering (USAXS) and/or SAXS. Other
techniques, such as x-ray microtomography, GISAXS, diffraction, USAXS
imaging, and x-ray photon correlation spectroscopy (XPCS) are available
as needed.

A Ph.D. in condensed matter physics, materials science, chemistry or a
related field is required, and experience in diffraction, scattering and
synchrotron experiments is desirable.

Argonne is a U.S. Department of Energy Laboratory managed by UChicago
Argonne, LLC, and is located approximately 25 miles southwest of
Chicago, USA, on a beautiful 1500-acre campus-like environment. Both
Argonne and the University of Chicago are equal opportunity employers
and value diversity in their workforces. Interested individuals should
submit their resume, list of publications and the names of three
references through the Argonne website at http://www.anl.gov/jobs job
search for requisition XSD 314394 by April 30, 2009.
