Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the 1st Asia-Oceania Neutron Scattering Summer
School, which will be held at the Korean Advanced Institute for Science
and Technology (KAIST): Daejeon, South Korea between the 18th and 23rd
of August 2008. The school will be focused on the theory and
applications of Small Angle Neutron Scattering and Neutron
Reflectometry.
The school has been organised by the Asia-Oceania Neutron Scattering and
its main aim is to provide the basics of theory, experimental techniques
and data analysis. The curriculum will include lectures by leading
scientists in the field of SANS and Neutron, and practical sessions in
data treatment and structural modelling using advanced analytical
techniques.
For further details see:

The school will accept up to 5 participants from Australia.
I therefore call for applications from PhD students and early career
researchers wishing to attend the school.
Applicants should be either currently involved with neutron scattering
science, or require skills in these areas for their degree or research.
Students accepted for the school will receive full funding to cover
travel, food and accommodation costs.
If you wish to attend this school, please reply to Professor Michael
James (mja at ansto.gov.au) by Monday 2nd of June, and provide:
