POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE The Soft-Matter Group (http://www.solids.bnl.gov/~scmg) in the Department of Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) has an immediate opening for a research associate to investigate nanoscale wetting phenomena on massively parallel, nanoscale patterned surfaces using Grazing Incidence Small Angle X-ray Scattering techniques (GISAXS). Additional GISAXS studies will be carried out on polymer and nanoparticle systems. Experience with GISAXS, SAXS, and x-ray and/or neutron scattering and/or wetting phenomena is extremely desirable. Work will be carried out at the National Synchrotron Light Source (BNL) and at the Advanced Photon Source (Argonne National Laboratory). Requires a Ph.D. in physics, chemistry or materials science. Interested candidates should submit a CV, recent reprints/preprints and three letters of reference, indicating position to Ben Ocko (ocko at bnl.gov) or to Ben Ocko, BNL Bldg 510B, Upton, NY 11973. BNL is an equal opportunity employer committed to workforce diversity.
