[This posting was delayed by a change in list moderator] From: Manfred Roessle [mailto:manfred.roessle at embl-hamburg.de] Sent: Tuesday, September 12, 2006 18:06 Subject: Workshop announcement at the SAS mailing list Dear Colleagues, A PETRA -III workshop is being organised to discuss the design and applications of the small angle scattering beamline for biological macromolecules (BioSAXS) on 31st October and 1st November 2006 on the DESY campus hosted by EMBL. This beamline will enable and facilitate the User to perform cutting edge experiments in biological SAXS including those in reduced volumes(microfluidics) and high throughput analysis as well as anomalous scattering and ultrafast kinetics studies using pink beam mode. The aim of the Workshop is to finalise the principles of the technical design and to prioritise the scientific tasks of the beamline. Scientists from synchrotron facilities and biologists interested in SAXS applications are invited to discuss these topics and contribute to the planning of the beamline to better meet the future User's needs.
