9th International Conference on Biology and Synchrotron Radiation (13-17
August 2007)

(Co-chairs Samar Hasnain and Dame Louise Johnson)

The 9th International Conference on Biology and Synchrotron Radiation will
be held at the Manchester International Conference Centre and at Diamond
Light Source from 13-17 August 2007. Previous meetings have been held in
Japan (2004), Brazil (2001), USA(1998) and Grenoble (1995) and have
attracted over 500 delegates. The last time this meeting was held in the
UK  was in Chester in 1988. At  that time the meeting was called Biophysics
and Synchrotron Radiation. This conference has become a prime focus for
discussions on advances in biological research and the underlying
biophysical technologies associated with SR that make this possible. I
attach a list of plenary and invited speakers  for the 2007 meeting, which
include Nobel prize winners (Michel and Deisenhoffer).

We hope that you would help us bring this meeting to the attention of your
staff and relevant users community. Discount registration  fee is available
till 20 December 2006.
