There is now a patched version of CBFlib to handle XDS cbf files that do
not have the binary size and which have null pad characters outside of
binary sections.

Our thanks to Andy Arvai for pointing out the problem and for helping to
test the patch.

There are two kits, one for CBFlib 0.7.9 users and one for CBFlib 0.8.1
users:

    CBFlib-0.7.9.3-1May09.tar.gz
    CBFlib-0.8.1.1-1May09.tar.gz

They are on the ftp server

ftp://ftp.bernstein-plus-sons.com/software

in the blondie.dowling.edu cbfpib project downloads

http://blondie.dowling.edu/frs/?group_id=10

and in the sf.net cbflib project downloads

https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=167912

one under the CBFlib_0.8.0 release and one under the CBFlib_0.7.9 release.

For consistency with the install instructions, the first tarball unpacks
to CBFlib_0.7.9 and the second to CBFlib-0.8.1 (note the different use of
underscore and hyphen -- I am trying to start conforming with debian
naming conventions).

If there are no complaints about the behavior of the patch, it will
be included in the default releases.

In addition the java and fortran bindings should be included in the
default releases in a few days.

Regards,
   Herbert
