The next snapshot of CBFlib is available at:

   http://arcib.dowling.edu/~bernsteh/software/CBFlib_0.7.6_19Apr06.tar.gz

The patches that can be used to make this version from 0.7.5 are in:

   http://arcib.dowling.edu/~bernsteh/software/CBFlib_0.7.6_19Apr06.patch

In order to support older software that needs the 'diffrn_frame_data'
category, instead of the current 'diffrn_data_frame' category, the
program convert_image has been patched to include the options:

          -c category_alias=category_root
          -t tag_alias=tag_root

which map the left-hand-side category or tag to the right-hand-side
category or tag. Related changes were make in cbf.c and cbf_simple.c.
This feature was then used in Makefile by inserting

          -c diffrn_data_frame=diffrn_frame_data
into the convert_image test command lines. At the same time,
convert_image was changed so that an image rotation of mirroring is
propogated to the precedence and directions of the detector axes. The
adsc quantum 315 template was changed to use the decreasing direction
on both axes to satisfy the requirements of ipmosflm display.
Finally, the _diffrn_detector.sample_detector_distance tag was
replaced with _diffrn_measurement.sample_detector_distance.

This version has not been tested against the newest adxv yet.
When used against the previous adxv, a correct image for ipmosflm
appears reflect when presented to adxv and vise-versa. The necessary
change can be handled by a simple edit or using the mirror and
rotation option in convert_image, but it would be nice to be
able to have just one cbf format that both ipmosflm and adxv
display consistently. More in a few days.

   Regards,
     Herbert
