Dear Colleagues

The 26th Congress and General Assembly of the International Union of
Crystallography will be held in Melbourne, Australia, 22–29 August 2023.
The triennial IUCr congresses have always been sources of scientific
inspiration, representing an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn about
recent achievements. The abstract submission deadline has been extended to
21 February 2023 so there is still time to present your best results. The
high-pressure community is fortunate to have a wide choice of microsymposia
sponsored by the IUCr Commission on High Pressure, either independently or
jointly with other Commissions:

*A030. Multigrain Crystallography, Multicrystal Indexings, and
Microstructures in High Pressure Experiments* (*with the Commission on
Diffraction Microstructure Imaging*)
Chairs: Sébastien Merkel and Stella Chariton

*A044. High-pressure Quantum Crystallography* (*with the Commission on
Quantum Crystallograph*y)
Chairs: Rebecca Scatena and Sajesh P. Thomas

*A045. Using High-pressure Diffraction to Design and Understand
Functionality*
Chairs: Andrew Cairns and Bianca Haberl

*A046. Diffraction Studies in Dynamic Compression Experiments*
Chairs: Rachel J. Husband and Richard J. Briggs

*A047. Crystallography in Space Research* (*with the Commission on
Inorganic and Mineral Structures*)
Chairs: Tom Runcevski and Tuan Va

*A067. Crystallographic Symmetry and its Application in Material
Science* (*with
the Commission on Mathematical and Theoretical Crystallography*)
Chairs: Gemma de la Flor and Leopoldo Suescun

*A117. Putting Pressure on Complementary X-ray Spectroscopy and Scattering
Methods* (*with the Commission on XAFS*)
Chairs: Monica Amboage and Narcizo M. Souza Neto

Please find the registration form at https://iucr2023.org

We hope to see you in Melbourne in August!

On behalf of the IUCr Commission on High Pressure,
