This email is to let you know that COMCIFS will be holding both open and 
closed meetings at the IUCr Congress in Florence. 

The open meeting will be held on Friday Aug.26 at 1235 in Room 6.  A 
number of speakers will describe the use of coreCIF and mmCIF in 
software, publishing and databases.  The list of speakers and their 
subjects will be announced later.

Two closed meetings have been arranged for Thursday Aug. 25 at 1500 and 
Monday Aug. 29 at 1235. These meetings are designed to provide a forum 
for discussing current problems and future directions for CIF.  Anyone 
working on a CIF project (e.g., dictionary or software) is welcome to 
attend and contribute to the discussion.
